Above all a leader is one who has courage. Webster simply defines courage as bravery or boldness. I believe that definition is too vague because bravery or boldness in a different context may not demonstrate leadership... When individuals make the conscious choice to get outside of their comfort zone and stretch themselves and grow personally and professionally they demonstrate real courage. My journey with Discover Leadership Training began just last year. I was nominated by my best friend Shelli Alaniz. She and her husband had gone through the entire master graduate program and there were some noticeable differences.
